Customer survey results - April 2022

A heartfelt thankyou for taking the time to share your feedback. Responses and comments were overwhelmingly positive, with all respondents indicating their satisfaction with the website, the newsletter and the books range and condition.

56% of respondents indicated that the books received were in the expected condition and 44% found the books in a better condition than expected: we will do our best to maintain a high quality control when sorting out donations, to ensure you stay satisfied with the books you receive.

The priority suggestions for improvement were as follows:

  • a wider range of titles (55%), 
  • a BabelBooks gift card, to offer to avid readers (27%),
  • improvement to the search tool (9%),
  • more frequent updates on the titles recently added to our shelves (9%).

We are already growing the book offering, thanks to a strong pipeline of generous book donors, and will work on the remainder suggestions over the coming months.

Additional comments included:

  • Access to pictures of the first few pages of each book: this is a great idea, but unfortunately beyond our scope for the near future. We will keep this suggestion on the drawing board though, for later improvements.
  • Request for cheaper delivery cost to remote areas: we are dependent on Sendle, our reliable shipping partner, and shipping cost should decrease as BabelBooks grows.

And finally, 100% of the customers who responded indicated they would purchase again from BabelBooks: this is extremely encouraging!
