Lara Sanderstone is a judge in Los Angeles. Her ability to protect her younger sister , Ivory, ended when she married Sam,and when Ivory and Sam are brutally murdered, Lara takes it upon herself to find the murderer. As Lara uncovers layer upon layer of corruption, she also has to deal with the added responsibility of caring for her sister's child, Josh - and the possibility thathe might be the killer.
